Meet the Event Team: Shayne Cadugan Kutsko, Event Sales Specialist
An Event Sales Specialist for HOUSEpitality Family, Shayne has worked in the hospitality and customer service fields in some form or fashion since she was legally able to have a job. She’s worked with HOUSEpitality Family for just over three years and was a host at The Boathouse at Sunday Park before joining the event team. Shayne describes herself as considerate, friendly, organized - all qualities that are great to have in the wedding and event industry!
Why did you decide to work in the wedding/event industry?
As a host at The Boathouse, from start to finish, I got to see first hand the execution of events. I was so impressed and felt like I needed to be part of it!
What is your favorite thing about a wedding / reception at The Boathouse?
From the moment you arrive to visit for the first time, to the very end of your wedding day, you can rest assured that you're in caring and capable hands. I love how much every member of our staff believes in what we do and wants only the absolute best for our couples.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I met my husband through a mutual friend in Richmond, but he actually lived in Boston. We had a long distance relationship for a year before he moved to Virginia.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day is different, but I spend most of my time communicating with people about their celebrations, which I am so happy to be a part of.
What’s your favorite wedding season and why?
I love winter weddings! Whether in the city or the mountains, something about a snowy scene really warms my heart.
What do you love about your job?
I love that I get to talk to people everyday who invite me to help them celebrate life. It feels so good getting to share in others’ happiness.
